Dinner with Alan Leong, a man prepared to stand for next CE election (27 Nov)
Are you dissatisfied by the fact that you do not have a say on the election process for the Chief Executive of the HKSAR? The Electoral College system has been criticized of being a “small-circle” election, which competition is lacked.
But the election in 2007 seems to be a little bit different when the contester against Donald Tsang seems to be able to get the entrance ticket of 100 electoral votes. With uncertainties like the involvement of ex-civil servant chief Anson Chan, the grievances of the pro-Beijing camp on Tsang and the contester’s considerable popular support, the contest may not be as “smooth” as what had been before.
We have invited the contester, Mr. Alan LEONG Ka-kit of the Civic Party, to share with us his vision and mission to challenge Donald Tsang. Mr. Leong obtained his LLB degree from HKU in 1982 and LLM degree from University of Cambridge in 1984. He was a Senior Counsel since 1998 and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association from 2001 to 2003. Mr. Leong was elected a Legislator through direct election in Kowloon East in 2004. He was nominated as the candidate for the Chief Executive of the Civic Party last month.
Don’t miss the opportunity to share with the CE candidate. You are most welcomed to express your view on current issues with our guest. Seats are very limited, please act now to secure your seat. To register, please click the link below:
