從特首選戰結果看民心
The CE election was drawn to an end on 25 Mar, with Donald TSANG got over 80% of the votes. The election result was never surprising as compared with the rolling poll results announced by the HKU Public Opinion Programme just before the election day.
Across the rolling polls from 26 Feb to 23 Mar, the support rate (daily tracking) for Donald TSANG increased from 71.9% to 81.0%, whereas that for Alan Leong stood at around 14%. For the sector of ‘tertiary education or above’ alone, the support rate for Donald increased from 67.4% to 87.2%, whereas that for Alan Leong dropped to 10.3% at the end.
We have invited Fu Tze (劉銳紹先生) to be our guest speaker at the next Current Affair Dinner to be held on 16 Apr (Monday). Fu Tze will share with us his insights into the result of the CE election and the associated rolling polls. He will talk further on the political dynamics of Donald’s governance in the next 5 years.
