HKUGA Policy Group Luncheon at Chinese Banks Club (10 Jul, Fri)
Reconstruction of 5-12 Earthquake Sites
– Progress and Insights

It has been over a year since the Wen Chuan earthquake on 12 May 2008. While heart-breaking pictures of the tragedy are still with many of us, reconstruction works at the earthquake sites progress at high speed in every minute since then.

For HKUGA, quite a number of our members have been involved in this mega-scale reconstruction programme, though at different fronts - ranging from voluntary work in NGOs and academic institutions to steering of major government support programme. In different occasions in the past months, we found the experience and insights of our members both very interesting and worth sharing.

At the monthly Policy Group Lunch of Jul (10/7), we've the great honour of the agreement of a senior HKUGA member to share with us his personal experience in steering the government support programme. We would able to learn from him the latest progress of the reconstruction works, as well as some insights from the mega-scale reconstruction programme.

Don't miss this very valuable opportunity! Enrol as quickly as you can as seats are very limited for the private function room we served at Chinese Banks' Club with the help of SK LI.

For enquiry, please contact Wayne CHENG at 97500629, or the convenor of Policy Group - WONG Chuen-fai at 96220207.
