Ms. Chan Wing Shan, Chairman of Hong Kong Cultural Heritage Studies and Promotion Association, would like to share with you her experience in community participation in cultural heritage conservation.  The following topics will be covered:

HONG KONG CULTURAL HERITAGE STUDIES AND PROMOTION ASSOCIATION

CHAIRMAN  : MS. CHAN WING SHAN

Master of Science in Conservation at The University of Hong Kong in 2006 and a member of HKAAA and ICCN, Korea.

Joined an internship in UNESCO regional office in Thailand in 2003, handled the project of UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Conservation Awards in 2004.

Set up Hong Kong Culture Heritage Studies and Promotion Association in 2007.  Activities include cultural tours and talk of Wanchai Market and editing a book The Oral History of Wanchai Community (故園故事) with the Wanchai District Council.

Internship in ICCN, Korea, 2009 to prepare and participate in "International Forum on Intangible Cultural Heritage in East Asia".
