Hong Kong University Graduates Association
The Hong Kong University Graduates Association (HKUGA) was established in 1976 by Hong Kong University graduates, with the aim of furthering the bonds, friendship and ideals of alumni and creating an ongoing link with the University and enhancing its reputation and development. The Association is now one of the leading alumni associations at the University, with a diverse and highly active membership comprising former students from various faculties.
Application is inivited to fill a vacancy of Executive Officer in the Association, initially for a period of one year with a possibility of renewal, to take up work related to member relationship management, office administration, event management and fund-raising. The salary, including a fixed and a variable performance-based component, will be in the range of $8,000 to $9,000 per month.
The candidate should have a minimum of one year's working experience, excellent communication and secretarial skills, preferably with knowledge of Chinese culture, and be proactive, mature and capable of working independently. He or she is required to work 40 hours per week and may be required to work during the day or evening, or during public holidays to support the HKUGA activities. The following is a more detailed list of duties:
1. Communication with members
2. Support for HKUGA programs and activities
3. Revenue collection and fund-raising
4. Development and maintenance of membership database
5. Financial matters
6. Administration of the Hong Kong University Graduates Centre
7. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Committee members from time to time.
As the activities of the HKUGA are dynamic and varied, the candidate will have the opportunity to partake in these functions, while providing a significant contribution to the development of the HKUGA at the same time.
