HKUST AlphaHack Lab and HKUGA are co-organizing a webinar and are delighted to invite 2 industry leaders on AI & Metaverse - Prof. Paul Lee and Dr. Anthony Woo, CFA, CAIA, FRM to share with us their insights and predictions on these emerging areas, and how we could capture the opportunities there.

Paul received a PhD degree from SyMLab, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Bachelor's and M.Phil. degrees from the University of Hong Kong. He is the first author of the viral research paper on Metaverse, "All One Needs to Know about Metaverse: A Complete Survey on Technological Singularity, Virtual Ecosystem, and Research Agenda". Paul is currently an assistant professor (tenure-track) with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, and the head of the Augmented Reality and Media Laboratory, KAIST. He has built and designed various human-centric computing specializing in augmented and virtual realities (AR/VR).

Anthony is currently the Executive Director of Alpha Intelligence Capital (AIC), a VC firm focusing on AI investments globally, covering verticals such as Cybersecurity, Drug Discovery, Industrial Automation, and Quantum Computing, including SenseTime in China. He used to serve the following roles: Researcher at the Harvard Business School Asia-Pacific Research Center, Investment Banker (TMT) at Morgan Stanley, and Private Banker at J.P. Morgan. His background also includes: PhD and MSc of Information Technology in Education (Distinction) at HKU, MBA at Harvard Business School, BSc (Haas) at U.C. Berkeley (summa cum laude).
